GAUDI (Gouvernance, Architecture, Urbanisme, Démocratie, Interaction) is a multiannual european project (2001 - 2004)
supported within the context of Culture 2000 programme.
The project supposes that city and architecture are the most
significant and unifying themes for Europe under a cultural
point of view.
The project seeks to promote the interest and importance
of such a concept among european institutions and citizens.
The actions
proposed cover three different fields:
- Research,
memory and project
- Education
and dissemination to the general public
- Strengthen
the network of European institutions
The Partners

Participating institutions are located in a number of large
European cities and all work in the field of architectural
culture: museums of architecture, centres of information for
architecture and urbanism, institutions of higher learning,
research centres and professional organisations.
